It’s Done

The waters never pale
In this place that I have ended They say it’s bright, white
But it must have been pretended It doesn’t take the shape
Quite the way that it was spoken The burning empty mystery
So cleanly, quickly broken The men and the voices
They love a clear idea A soothing shroud of light
To cast open any fear But now I’m here I know
What’s really real and true Is only crumbled rock
A cavern made in gentle blue It’s true I’ve long pulled out
A single splinter from my sole The same one I always stepped on
Making again the same old hole But the crumbling of this place
Where all thought says is none Taps gently on my memory
And says only, “it’s done”.

  2. This is lovely. I particularly like the part:

    "The men and the voices
    They love a clear idea
    A soothing shroud of light
    To cast open any fear"

There is some powerful subtext here. <3

  3. Sadly I can't view this as I am stuck in a fax machine trying to call tech support using my brick sized cell phone

  4. WOW! That was an okay video! I would like to see more of this kind of content! It makes me feel very okay!

  5. Gorgeous prose that made me wish I could write poetry this well, accompanied by some great imagery! Great job!

  6. I wonder if this poem also works with other stop-motion videos.

Brb, gonna try to fit it to my top 10 Pingu betrayals compilation!
