July 2014’s Rhyme of the Month: “Ten Little Candles”

Welcome to the Enoch Pratt Free Library State Library Resource Center’s Handy Dandy Rhymes. The rhyme of the month is “Ten Little Candles.” [singing] 10 little candles on a birthday cake [blows twice] now there are eight. Eight little candles on eight candlesticks [blows twice] now there are six. Six little candles and not one more [blows twice] now there are four. Four little candles red, white, and blue [blows twice] now there are two. Two little candles standing in the sun [blows twice] now there are none. Happy Birthday! Let’s do it together. All you have to do it blow out the candles. [singing] 10 little candles on a birthday cake [blows twice] now there are eight.
