“Not A Born Fighter” by Aishwarya Basu | English Poetry on Girl Empowerment | Blossom of Poetry

The world can stare at me
It is a kind of their legitimate right Because I am a Woman
To every person out there alive You can stare and glare me
You can question my character and my choices I am not going to feel uncomfortable
I am not going to hide behind the doors I am not going to sit back and wait
I am not going to calm down You can stare at me back and forth
You can roll your eyes at my back You can shame my body
You can damage my confidence But I have just one thing to say to you all
I am ready to take on this world I am proud of who I am
I am proud of what I do And I am proud of who I become I was never a fighter
But I have become one.
