November 2015’s Rhyme of the Month: “Peanut Butter and Jelly”

Welcome to the Enoch Pratt Free Library State Library Resource Center’s Handy Dandy Rhymes. The rhyme of the month is “Peanut Butter and Jelly Song.” While we sing the song we are going to be making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It will be easy for you to follow along because in each verse it is repeated twice. So you can listen the first time and follow and sing along the second time. It also has a verse that goes like this: [singing] Peanut, Peanut Butter. And Jelly. Peanut, peanut butter, and jelly. So we will be repeating that in between each verse. First you take the peanuts and you grind them, you grind them. First you take the peanuts and you grind them, you grind them. Peanut, Peanut Butter. And Jelly. Peanut, peanut butter, and jelly. And then you take the grapes and you smush them, you smush them. Then you take the grapes and you smush them, you smush them. Peanut, Peanut Butter. And Jelly. Peanut, peanut butter, and jelly. And then you take the bread and you spread it, you spread it. And then you take the bread and you spread it, you spread it. Peanut, Peanut Butter. And Jelly. Peanut, peanut butter, and jelly. And then you take your bread and you put it together. And then you take your bread and you put it together. Peanut, Peanut Butter. And Jelly. Peanut, peanut butter, and jelly. And then you take your sandwich and you munch it, you munch it. And then you take your sandwich and you munch it, you munch it. Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm. Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm. Peanut butter and jelly! Thank you so much for watching and have a great day.
