Open Hands | A Moving Poem by Michael Martínez, SJ

♪ – [Narrator] Before I go to sleep at night I examine my hands and I make sure that they are empty for this means I have
given it all in my day. Before I wake up in the morning (alarm beeping) I examine my hands. I make sure that they are empty (water splashing) for this means that I am ready
to receive it all in my day. When I follow Christ I examine my hands. I make sure they are empty and I bear his wounds for now giving and receiving have become one.
