Phil Collins Another Day In Paradise Lyrics

She calls out to the man on the street
‘Sir, can you help me? It’s cold and I’ve nowhere to sleep,
Is there somewhere you can tell me?’ He walks on, doesn’t look back
He pretends he can’t hear her Starts to whistle as he crosses the street
Seems embarrassed to be there Oh think twice, its another day for you and
me in paradise Oh think twice, its just another day
for you, You and me in paradise, think about it She calls out to the man on the street
He can see she’s been crying She’s got blisters on the soles of her feet
She can’t walk but she’s trying Oh think twice, its another day for you and me in paradise Oh think twice, its just another day for you, You and me in paradise, think about it Oh Lord, is there nothing more anybody can do Oh Lord, there must be something you can say You can tell from the lines on her face
You can see that she’s been there Probably been moved on from every place
’cause she didn’t fit in there Oh think twice, its another day for you and me in paradise Oh think twice, its just another day for you, You and me in paradise, just think about it, think about it It’s just another day for you and me in paradise It’s just another day for you and me in paradise,

  1. I dont get this song. What does a homeless woman have anything to do with living in paradise?

  2. ohhhh i remembered this song at work today .. i used to listen to it when i was 12 and i turned 43 last week hahahah yeah phill collines love your songs

  3. Nobody may read this but, this song gives everyone a moment to pause and think. All it can be is a certain set of circumstances that separate the homeless from us. Think of the fear and the shame and sadness , the fact we let our fellow man and woman suffer like this , it isn’t right.

Something should be done actual help given so these strong people can survive and thrive because I’ll tell you if shit hits the fan, these are the people I’d want having my back , those who haven’t given up even though it feels like the whole world has given up on them.

I can’t say I’d not swallow a bullet if faced with that so I know these people are tough. The looks, mocks, embarrassing stares they get. It’s tragic and ultimately people only care if it happens to them this mentality needs to change.

We’re only as strong as our weakest link. Only as good as our lowest level of compassion. It’s time perhaps we raise that bar and all of us be the evolved, good people we claim to be because in the end, you’d want someone to have your back who knows how not to give up and we shouldn’t give up on them.

  4. Duck_King I congratulate you on two points. One, for writing so well and Two, for being a beautiful human being blessed with a beautiful soul. Desde filipinas.

  9. Am I the only guy who met Phil Collins because he was in GTA Vice City Stories ?

  10. Sometimes, those people you see out on the street are actually not the bums you think they are. I even spent a good five minutes sitting on the bare concrete this morning, just waiting for my five and dime to open. Too depressed to wait in my car. Hit on the cashier. Left with nothing. Nothing begets nothingness. I'm a nobody so far. Silver linings, though. There are some nice people out there that want me to drop by and play D&D with them. I'm not worth their time. I want to be alone. No girlfriend….and you wonder why I'm depressed.

  11. año 93 …..edad 27 años…..amigos erika, marta, diana o lina……..sitio santa marta…………colombia

  12. For some reason whenever I hear this song I think of Jesus telling the man next to him on the stake that he would be with him in Paradise. I think he would have said the same thing to the homeless lady.

  13. Food, shelter, and health care should be considered basic human rights in any first world country. Shame on our government here in good ol Murica!!!

  14. Such a sad song with so many wonderful memories attached to it.. Absolutely timeless💓

  15. It's so funny there's nothing about my environment today that screams this kind of music I sorta just gravitated here alone lol today I'm 23 I'll be back at 33 to edit this comment. 😎

  16. This song , at least for a year , brought tears in my eyes and even today this inner feeling , that we live in a world of stupid competitions , useless fights , money spent for nothing , fancy objects and shob's shine ,,,will never change ….

  17. Im from Yemen, my has been in war for almost 5 years. Millions of people who had a decent life lost everything and found themselves suddenly to be homeless and nothing. Instead of living in a home (apartment or a house) they became living literally on the street. Only death or famine became our present and future. No really cares about what is going on here. UN is not doing enough and all the aide is going to the wrong hands. Politicians and war lords are fat cats who live on the sorrow of their own people. Very sad to say a once happy nation turns into a miserable turn apart nations.

Saludos! ❤️

  20. Please. Quiero mas música como ésta. Dónde están los verdaderos y nuevos talentos. Un conjunto de instrumentos, letra y voz.

  22. This song won a Grammy for record of the year in 1991. It deserves it because of how beautiful the lyrics and composition is.

  23. Heard it on the radio. Hardly remembered the lyrics, but I still found it on YouTube. Awesome!!

  24. It’s the luck of the draw, you’re either born lucky enough to have family and friends, or you’re not. Some people are born into utter chaos and deprivation…it’s up to the lucky ones to lend a helping hand when they see a fellow human being struggling. Never keep kindness to yourself.

  25. whenever i listen to this song paradise i just feel am all done with all trables in life….I like this song paradie in this version as well as brands version…They are really good

  26. I am 13 but listening this LEGENDARY song again and again don't know why….

  27. Don't fear meer men and women FEAR GOD. Don't hesitate to bring home the homeless people. I love having them in my home they treat my home and me better than my family does. Para Dise para doc para normal enigma. Pass will we be able to live with God the creator of the heavens and the earth and the fountains of waters and the seas and everything in the heavens and the earth and the fountains of waters and the seas .and his son Yeshua our King and head preist. unless we listen to his instructions on how. LOVE our neighbors as yourself. Pass the tests. We may be entertaining Angels and not know says the bible the Son of Man had no place to lay his head the bible said. Not socks or money. I have listened and learned much from These people on the streets because they know more than me.Thats why they don't fit in. I have never seemed to fit in and receive much mental and physical abuse and lying about me from my own family now persecution and threats for helping homeless people.

  28. September 2019, hurricane Dorian is coming. Somehow l wanted to hear this song again. If Dorian hit USA will be a lot of destruction and desolation. Have mercy on us God.

  29. This is one of those songs that when I’m driving solo I gotta pull over and think about how messed up the world is

  31. Does anyone do any critical thinking anymore? This song is performed by an British citizen. The tune appears to be about an American social problem of homelessness.
Imagine an American performer singing a song about UK’s NHS. Perhaps the long wait times, the way the NHS withholds treatment for it citizens after they reach a certain age.
The point is an American singing about England’s problems would not be tolerated on either side of the Atlantic. Why the double standard?

  32. Hey, New Borns and Everyone of the Rest of Us:

Welcome to Hell aka Existence, as Solomon said in his own way, Eccl 4:2-3

Now, look up: Inspired by 2 Tim 3:16, then above verses, then Eternal Pain-Free Solution, 2 Peter 3:10, For Heaven, that is, Rev 14:13, Amen!!!

Christ has been enjoying Heaven, since then, as everyone else, "Rest From Our Labor(s)". 🙂 🙂 🙂
