Aah! I thought you said
she was dead. That was her sister, The wicked witch
of the east. This is the wicked
witch of the west. And she’s worse than
the other one was. Who killed my sister? Who killed
the witch of the east? Was it you? No. No, it was
an accident. I didn’t mean
to kill anybody. Well, my little pretty,
I can cause accidents, too! Aren’t you forgetting
the ruby slippers? The slippers. Yes! The slippers.

  1. At 00:35 Lion waits for Dorothy to pick up Toto so they can end the chase together in front of the tree. πŸ™‚

  2. The makeup, special effects, and costumes in this movie seems really ahead of its time..

  3. In my opinion the Cowardly Lion was arguably the funniest character in the film. The Cowardly Lion showed great moments of comedy such as this scene, bragging to his friends about courage in the Emerald City, being a cry baby seeing the wizard, jumping out a window and attempting to back out saving Dorothy from the witch' s castle and of course his sarcasim in some parts of the film.

  4. An x factor audition comment from a youtuber led me hereπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚I'm dead

  5. Dorothy smiles and tries not to laugh after she smacks the lion and he asks "Is my nose bleeding?"

  6. he protecc
    he attacc
    but most importantly
    he got his smacc

  7. Part 0:41, Dorothy slaps Lion on the nose for trying to bite Toto, causing him to cry.

  8. I think I might attempt auditioning for this role at school… maybe. It will take a lot of courage. I’ve never done anything like it before.

  9. β€œHow long can you stay fresh in that can?” that line gets me every time πŸ˜‚

  10. Come on get up & fight you Shivering Junk Yard put your Hands up you Lop Sided Bag of Hay hahaha πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  11. She’s trying so hard not to laugh when 1:02 – 1:04 And 2:00 – 2:04

  12. A lot of people still watch this movie. This movie came out 79 years even though it's a old movie people will still always watch it!!

  13. The director slapped Judy in this shooting; she had the giggles so they had to cut and Victor Fleming slapped her on the face and said "Now pull yourself together!". She did the scene perfectly after that but Fleming felt awful for slapping her. Judy overheard this and kissed his nose.

  14. The costume was made from real Lion fur, and it weighed about 100 pounds. So when the actor wore it, he was sweating under the studio lights.

  15. Lol… watch her at 1:02, she starts accidentally (?) laughing at him πŸ˜‚πŸ€

  16. How many lions actually live in a FORREST? 🦁 I always thought they live in JUNGLES… πŸ€”

  17. Omg!!i love the cowardly lion!! I remember my dad doing an impression of the lion all the time haha

  18. WHY is the closed caption lyrics to The Lollipop League over this scene?

  19. The Lion sounded like a New York bully in high school playground lol.

  20. Fun fact: The Cowardly Lion's costume was made out of a REAL Lion. The actor Burt Lahr was literally wearing a dead skinned animal.

  21. The director was the one who should be ashamed of himself because he slapped Judy because she was laughing at that scene while they were working on that clip.

  22. No clue, no brain, no heart and no courage…how did you guys stay out of politics?

  23. Judy kept cracking up during this scene and ruining the take – you can see her smile a little when the lion dabs at his eyes with his tail

  24. 1:01 You can see Judy Garland trying to hold in her laugh! I love how comedic actors back in the day could make both children and adults laugh just through their own eccentricity and talent.

  25. 1939 One Of The Greatest Years For Movies Ever You Had The Wizard Of Oz And Mr Smith Goes To Washington And Gone With The Wind And The Movie That Made John Wayne A Star Stagecoach And Destry Rides Again And Bette Davis In Dark Victory

  26. I hate and love this movie! The movie is so amazing and colorful but whatever happened behind the scenes I am not amused by the torture they put Judy in

  27. Dorothy: It's bad enough picking on a straw man, but picking on little dogs.

Tin Man: Am I a joke to you?

  28. Cowardly lion : my dad took me up a mountain and said.

Lions dad : son this place would be all yours .
    Lion King

  29. I wouldn’t do that if I were you I really wouldn’t slap a 🦁 you do it will kill you yes it will.

  30. Okay look I’m sorry but everything about the cowardly-lion just drives me mad and not in a good way and I don’t blame Judy for laughing, I mean his reaction is beyond childish.

  31. 1:50

β€œWouldn’t you feel degraded to be seen in the company of a cowardly lion?? I WOULD!”
