The Puppy Poem

Goose honking. Girl whistles. More honking. Classical Music. The puppy is adorable And horrible, incorrigible. He mutilates his water bowl And masticates the shoes he stole. He’s crafty, skilled and masterful And dreadfully catastrophal. He grows so quick and suddenly With glee and gorge and gluttony. He defecates exceedingly And slips away misleadingly. He piddles most unceasingly We scrub and scrub repeatedly He re-enacts immediately. With damaged nerves beyond the number At last the pup succumbs to slumber. Fast asleep, they fade away The untold horrors of the day. Though his manners are deplorable The puppy is adorable.
