Their ideas were more important than scripture?

A brother in Christ asked me
a simple question. Have I ever seen anyone
treating the Sinaiticus and Vaticanus as if they were alive? Let me ask the question to you:
have you ever seen anyone treating the Greek Codex Sinaiticus
or Greek Codex Vaticanus as if they were living? I’ll tell you my answer. But I hope this short video
will give you an alternate perspective
about text critics. Ready? Hi, I’m David Daniels
from Chick Publications The word of God is alive. Let me read a few scriptures to you. Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner
of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” “Quick” means “alive.” God’s words are quick and powerful,
not dead and powerless. Isaiah 55:11
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:
it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish
that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing
whereto I sent it.” God’s word accomplishes
what God wants. And it will prosper in the task
for which God sent it. Jeremiah 23:29
“Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD;
and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” God’s word burns and breaks
whatever God wants burnt and broken. That’s powerful. In short, God’s words are holy. They are an extension of God. They are powerful, like God. They do what God wants,
when God wants, how God wants. And God’s words are alive. When I approach this book,
I approach HIS Book. They’re not my words. They’re His. That is what makes this holy book
so wonderful. I can always go to God, in His word,
and I can find out what my heavenly Father thinks,
what He wants, and what will make Him happy. But here is what
my professors at Fuller Seminary said. And remember,
this was considered one of the most conservative seminaries,
and second biggest in the country when I went there. From 1984-87,
I studied at Fuller Seminary. Let me introduce you to
some of my Fuller professors. This is Dan Fuller,
son of the founder, Charles Fuller. He taught Unity of the Bible
with huge syllabi we had to buy. His system of Bible arcs
said that after the Fall of man in Genesis 3,
God didn’t talk in person to His creation anymore. But as I said then,
God’s right there talking with Cain in the very next chapter,
Genesis 4! Dr. Fuller never changed his notes
to match the Bible. His mind was made up. This is Paul Jewett. He taught us that Adam
didn’t find a companion, until he looked and saw
one of the apes. He said, and I quote,
“That one over there. I think it’s something in the eyes.” So Dr. Jewett,
this champion of women as pastors, taught that the first woman
was literally an ape. This is Dr. Ralph P. Martin. He changed the meaning
of a couple of Greek words in Acts 1, as I said in
Why They Changed the Bible. I pointed out that
his changed meaning would make it like Luke and Acts
were written in the 2nd century, contradicting the Bible,
which says Luke was an eyewitness. His response
before a couple hundred students: “Well, THAT wouldn’t hurt your faith,
would it?” This is Dr. Lewis B. Smedes. He liked to tear down the faith
of each individual class member in the 10 Commandments
like a confrontational talk-show host. He’d make up tear-jerking scenarios,
where breaking a commandment seemed like
the only thing you could do, to solve the problem
he made up. And when someone
finally broke down, he would say,
“So you don’t really believe in that commandment,
do you?” He took pleasure
in tearing people’s faith into shreds. These are Doctors
Hubbard, LaSor and Bush. They wrote an
Old Testament Introduction text that said Ezekiel
wanted to make a bigger temple. But alas, his plans didn’t work out. (That’s Ezekiel 40-48). They said that those chapters
were simply Ezekiel’s wish-fulfillment dream,
not from God. So they believed the Bible
was written by man, not inspired by God. David Allan Hubbard
was president of Fuller, and my Hebrew Literature professor. William Sanford LaSor was also
my Hebrew readings professor. Frederick Bush was
another Old Testament professor. Dr. Bob Schaper,
who was also my homiletics (not preaching) professor,
came into Bush’s class and said two things:
1. If we had a Polaroid camera,
we would not have seen God forming man
of the dust of the ground and breathing into his nostrils
the breath of life. 2. If we had a Polaroid camera,
we would not have seen Jesus ascend to heaven. “Heaven isn’t up,” he said. But Acts 1 says
Jesus went up before their eyes, while they watched. But he never let the facts
get in the way of his beliefs. Dr. Donald Hagner,
one of my New Testament professors,
who always read straight from the United Bible Society’s Greek text
to us, believed that many of Paul’s letters
were written by somebody else, after Paul died,
who faked his name. That means
these New Testament books would be Pseudepigrapha,
“false writings.” Oh, and one more thing. All the professors here,
as far as they have said and I was told,
were evolutionists. They thought creationism
was a fairy tale, and Genesis 1-11 was just poetry. This is who thousands
of present pastors and professors were trained by
when they went to seminary, as I did. And they are only
the tip of the iceberg. But what about my question,
that I asked in the beginning? Do they trust anything
as the living word of God? You know what? Not one single professor
came to class and snuggled the text
of Codex Sinaiticus in his arms and said, “At last! THESE are the words of God!” Not even Dr. Paul Jewett,
who went to Vatican II, and made sure we knew about it,
not even he held a copy of
Codex Vaticanus in his arms and said,
“Now we have God’s holy words!” Not even one. No. It was quite different. Listening to my professors talk, or
reading the many books about the manuscripts,
was more like dissecting dead things. It’s like finding
a dead animal in the desert. When I lived out past
Desert Hot Springs, in Sky Valley, in high school,
I rode my Suzuki 90 motorcycle south toward the San Andreas Fault,
south of my house. And I couldn’t believe my eyes! I saw a big old wild boar. And it was dead! I’d never seen one
in the desert before. So I came nearer. I wanted to see what it looked like
up close. I wish I hadn’t. Oh, man! The smell was awful! And there were birds
picking stuff off it. I couldn’t get closer
than 100 feet away. It was the worst smell
I’ve ever smelled. I could never get used to that. And yet these professors of mine
were perfectly happy to pick up
the dead and rotting corpses of supposedly ancient Bible texts,
cut out whatever they wanted, throw the rest away,
and sort of Frankenstein together a Bible out of the rotten remains
of whatever they found. One story about the Bodmer papyri,
that people use to change the Bible text,
is that they were found in glass jars in a Gnostic graveyard. I’m not making this up. So they pieced together
from these dead documents something approximating
a gutted Bible. Then they pass this off
as “the Bible” or “the oldest and best”? What did they do? Zap it with electricity? Give it mouth to mouth resuscitation? Man cannot give life to dead things. Only God gives life to the dead. But God’s words never died. They are living —
the Bible word is “quick” — and they are powerful. They change lives. If you are a missionary
looking at this, you are a missionary
because of this book, the King James. You see,
God didn’t take rotting corpses to piece together His book. He preserved it. And even when a man
made mistakes somewhere in his own personal copy,
God knew where the right readings were. And by the time of
the invention of multiple-copy printing,
God started bringing together His Bible
so it could be printed in a final form, without error. It was no coincidence. It was God carrying out His promise
to preserve His words. That’s why the Devil
fights it so much. And God’s words LIVE. They change lives. And like it or not,
this Book created the modern missionary movement. This Book was and is
the seed of revivals. This Book was
the original reason for creating Bible translation groups. That’s because this
isn’t just a book. Even though all the
big seminary texts from the 1950s on said the Bible was
“just like any other book.” This is not just like any other book. This is God’s Book. But they treat their own words
as if they are more important than God’s words. Look, they can try to give it
mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to their Frankenstein’s monster
of rotten and fake manuscripts. Let them call the work of sinful man
a Bible. They don’t trust any book, anyway. But I’ll hang on
to the words of the living God in English, the King James Bible. Deborah and I taught
these living words to our kids from their childhood. We pray before reading it,
learn about God from it, lifting it up,
never doubting it, and being willing to change
however it says to, with God’s help. We don’t have to trust
some doubting professor. Now we have godly children
that no cemetery– seminary could take away from us. You know why? Because they believe the Bible
and doubt their professors, the way it should be. And God takes that faith
and leads them into truth. And he’ll do that for you
and your kids, too. Praise God,
a lot of you out there already know what I’m talking about. Proverbs 22:6
“Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” The living words of God,
or the dead words of men. Your choice. But remember,
it will make all the difference in the world
for your children. God bless you,
and have a wonderful day.

  1. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for a wonderful message. Praise God and may He protect you and all of Chick Publications.

  2. what about taking away ,substituting by KJV translators God's The Father's very Name in original Hebrew and His Son's as well in KJV starts also with Y and has most important meaning "YHVH is Salvation" , you know.
… even Elohim or Adonai instead of God/Lord you know Lord means Ba'al by the heathens, we shouldn't use , disrespect Almighty's El Shaddai 's very own given Name/s since He hates false gods elohim of heathen and says to NOT use His name in vain, that's one of the 10 commandments.

  3. Amen and praise God! Just the encouragement I need right now to keep going!

  4. Got back from Wed night Bible study a few minutes ago. It was a pleasant surprise and a blessing to see that you had uploaded a new video an hour earlier.
    God Bless.

  5. Another awesome video! I only started watching Chicktracts' videos a few months ago, but they've been a big help already. I'm currently the only KJVO believer in my family and community (that I know of), so it's good to hear from someone else who believes in the preservation of Scripture. Thank you.

  6. Your smile and your kind spirit always brings joy to my day, brother. As always, your research is well received and admirable. thank you and God bless you too!

  7. Brother David, good evening. I Just want to say Hi. Sorry for my imperfect english but I´m Mexican and live in Tijuana, México; I´m married with 3 kids; your videos have been an blessing in my life to have confidence in Textus Receptus and studying The Holy Bible in the version Reina-Valera 1960 wich is based in tahta text. I´m the older (40 years) of 4 brothers, but if I was asked if i wanted to have an older brother, definitely i would choose you. Love in Christ brother; May our Lord JesusChrist Bless You and the Grace of God fill your house.

  8. Great video, wonderful teachings. You know what I think? These "teachers" are not really saved. They don't have the Holy Spirit in them so they don't understand His Holy Words (1 Cor. 2:13 -15). Maybe they were saved some time ago. But they moved their faith from God and His Word to man's wisdom. Very sad. God help us to never do the same thing. God bless you.

  9. It was through this mans teaching I became KJV only, and as I read the KJV I came to the revelation that Jesus is the living Word of God. Preserved forever in Heaven given all authority over all things in heaven on Earth and under Earth. The Word that proceeded out of the Mouth of God, The Word that became flesh and dwelt amongst Men, to fulfill the Fathers will and to return to him. The KJV led me to Jesus who leads me to life everlasting. The Holy Ghost speaks today not just through the bible but in the hearts of those who believe and are given power to become sons of God. Scripture is meant to lead to truth, Jesus is the TRUTH, once you have knowledge of the truth you are led in the WAY by the Spirit who gives LIFE and those who are born of the Spirit are like the wind. There is a different between Gods word's and The WORD of GOD. In the Bible there are many Words and not all are Gods, some are Men's, a donkeys, women, angels, and even Satan's. All these are good for teaching, edification, rebuke etc. But there is only one who speaks the Fathers Words and does not compromise. JESUS who's said himself that his words were not his own but the Fathers who sent him. Jesus is alive today and speaks through his spirit that leads to all truth he knows how to speak to the situations we are going through today. We live in a different time, different culture. Those who lived in the times of the Early church would not understand our way of life and we cannot understand theirs. Many would say this is the Bible, you are right in saying so. But we have the same Spirit that inspired them who wrote, can we not be inspired? If I write something that is inspired by the Holy Ghost is it scripture or do we allow the authorities decide what is inspired? We are living epistles right? therefore my life is inspired by the Holy Ghost. hmmmm…I love Jesus he's great. HALLELUIJAH!

  10. Mr Daniel do you ever answer question concerning life's situation ?. I really hate to do this, but I was watching a another man who believe in the King James Bible and he claims he was saved, but he made a comment of how interracial marriage is a sin.I was wondering if you OR any one else on this channel can send me bible versus that refutes that Idea. I'm sorry to plaque this channel with this question, but I have been following Chick Tract since I was 12 year old boy. by the way your videos or helping me stay strong in the faith and please be careful I'm really scared that the Catholic church is gonna do something crazy. just the other day I watch a guy speak about how he was glad that Jack Chick Died. this world is dying and I hope and pray that the lord will protect you and all the other brother and sisters on this channel. Chick Tracts is blessed by the most high there is no denying that.

  11. Even as a non-Christian, these so-called men, are in my eyes jesuits, new-agers and/or satanists, i don't have any chance on the day of judgement, but i'd hate to stand before the almighty God, being one of these 'men', the shame and guilt would be too much to bear.

  12. Thank you for your work in doing these videos. Very helpful and educational.

  13. Kind of like what Gail Riplinger says in her book "Hazardous Materials"!

  14. One of the best videos on the entire youtube channel for many reasons. One of the reasons being how this video briefly documents just how bad the seminary professors are and what indoctrination those that graduate have gone through. I've noticed there isn't many (really none) that make it to teaching in front of a crowd that love scripture.

Another problem I see among some pastors that do love God at least somewhat is they just think people are to come in and bring their acquaintances and the pastors job is to preach sermons every week to win the lost. They don't follow scripture but go around it. Some of these hypocrites even stopped soul winning programs or went along with it.

Go buy some chick tracts and hand them out

  15. Your videos are always such a blessing. Only wish you had time to do more. God bless you.

  16. "These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantoness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error."(2 Peter 2:17-18)

  17. I will Exalt above all things My Name and My Word
    Psalm 138:2

““Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭30:5‬ ‭

  18. "The way it's suppose to be!" Ha ha ha ha!
What a scary testimony of seminary years!

I haven't gone to seminary, but I've had a share of being thought by unbiblical unorthodox unbelievers claiming to be the Guru on sophisticated Christian faith and doctrine.

Its very awkward. I dislike the such ordeals. I hope to avoid them.

May God bless your message to the world.

  19. Just want to say that I could not understand God's word until I read the KJV. Love it.

  20. I see why my Bible teacher calls it "Bible Cemetary" instead of Bible Seminary.

  21. Such profound words. So important for seminaries, churches and Sunday schools to put a premium on the living, inspired word of God.

  22. Brother Daniels, what do you know about Fuller professor Johnnie Ramirez-Johnson? He's causing major problems in my church!

  23. My brother has been attending a Church of Christ, he is unsaved, I never truly imagined he would darken the door of a Church, nevertheless they baptized him on spurious testimony in January as they believe this is necessary for salvation.
The man in charge there (they do not technically believe in Pastors, Deacons, etc.) told me when I met him that he was a graduate of Fuller, he attended around '80-'84, he mentioned no problems and his church (which is conservative in word only) does not use the King James, I learned in Contemporary Theology class of Fuller and their rapid decline after the first 10 years (the school was founded due. in part, to the fundamentalist-new-evangelical or Bob Jones-Billy Graham divide), they were non-separatist and seeking approval and acceptance from the world academically and intellectually, this and their general faithlessness to the fundamentals and lack of willingness to correct one another led them to where they are today – A hotbed of evolutionism and Bible Criticism, pumping out unregenerate preacher after unregenerate preacher.
I thank God that through adversity some like yourself Bro. Daniels, kept their faith.
    God bless you.
    E. J. K.

  24. Hey Dave, this is a good Facebook group called "Textus Receptus Bibles" and today they posted that they founds the tomb of "Archbishop Richard Bancroft was the chief overseer of the King James Bible"

  25. Well said. I have no idea where I would be if God had not led me to the KJ (with the help of folks like you). The new world translation took me to the point of such despair that I had to put what I thought to be the bible down for ten years. Sometimes we know something is wrong, we just don't know what is wrong. Consistency is the hallmark of honesty and that is lacking in the new age counterfeits. Four years ago I picked up the living word. Life is not the same now, it never will be. Thankyou for your vids, they are very helpful.

  26. Thank you so much brother Daniels for shining the light on these "seminary teachers". I've heard of many people going to these schools, and totally getting their faith destroyed (such a travesty) I hope more people see your videos on these issues, and I will also share them around. All Glory to God the Most High! Praise be to the Lord!

  27. Confirmation of Biblical Christianity
Irenaeus of Lyons (bishop in Gaul) wrote his Against Heresies c. 175-185
Please listen to Book 3 (and 4 and 5).
    You will be blessed.
Irenaeus refutes all these heretical opinions and fully endorses the Scripture and the NT Books. Irenaeus gives many examples of "Tradition" which he defines as the Apostles Creed. Irenaeus affirms the NT books through mss, eyewitnesses, living community connecting the writings of the NT with the time of the Apostles. It is amazing that the same heresies and blasphemes of these Seminarians is rebuked and refuted by Irenaeus who time and time again emphasizes reading the Scriptures and understanding them by their plain meaning. Irenaeus states many times that the Scripture is perfect and without error. And yes, Irenaeus understands the authority and use of the Scriptures the same way biblical Christians do today.

  28. Amen! David. shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written… Romans 3:3,4 I have heard repeatedly "I'm the one who's qualified, I'm the one who's trained to make those decisions!" coming from professional papered pastors about lording over others and setting themselves up as THE authority (I think of Absalom). It makes me sick how eaily they gain entrance into the sheep-fold. God bless, thanks for your service!

  29. Fascinating and horrifying, David. Powerful study! Luke 17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

  30. I remember as a preteen when my family left the Catholic Church. We started listening to a pastor on tape in the 1970's. A graduate of Dallas theological seminary. He said, "after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, there are no more miracles". And he later said, "all prophecy had been fulfilled". I remember thinking with the little bit I did know, it did not sound right.
Thankfully the Lord took me out of my darkness in 2013 and made me Born Again through His Blood.
Then a couple of years ago I was talking to this atheist on the internet. He said he became a atheist after entering a large seminary in Canada.
After that, I too started to call the major seminaries…cemeteries. And the pastors ravenous wolves.

  31. “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
    MATTHEW 24:35 KJV

  32. It was really interesting to hear the Chick Publications speaker on this video Talk about one of his Bible professors (Dr. Fuller) who asserted that God stopped talking to human beings after expelling Adam and Eve from the garden. As the Chick Publications Speaker points out, God is talking to a human being (Cain) in the very next chapter! So, I want to know … Did the speaker ever ask his professor, Dr. Fuller, about this? Did the speaker ever come up to his instructor, with a Bible open to where God is speaking with Cain, and ask: “Dr. Fuller, perhaps you can explain this for me: in this chapter, who is God talking to? Isn’t God talking to a human being in this chapter? But you said that couldn’t happen!” I know that I would have done this, if I had gone to that school and taken that course … Or, just maybe, DID no cats the speaker respectfully ask Dr. Fuller about the difference between the actual Bible text and Dr. Fuller’s statements about the Bible text? If any student of Dr. Fuller really DID, even once, have the necessary guts to question the teacher’s error, then I really wonder what happened! Was Dr. Fuller ever questioned on this point, with the questioner bringing evidence in hand? If so, then what did Dr. Fuller say in response?

  33. I’m concerned, really, about one arguments that this man is using to say that the KJV is a “living” book. There are various other religions, sects, and cults around the world around the world which ALSO treat their religious texts as “living”: for example, in the Sikh religion which is practiced in various parts of India, they call their Scriptures “the guru” (the Sikh religion used to have actual people be the Sikh gurus, but the tenth guru in their religion decreed that the next guru would be their book of scriptures, would be their guru forevermore), so they actually have elaborate ceremonies for “waking up the guru, feeding the guru, putting the guru to sleep” but it’s a BOOK! Even right here in America, there’s the Christian Science sect, which has decided that their scriptures (which are the Bible plus a book that their founder wrote) are “the pastor” of their sect (they don’t call their actual living human clergy any “clergy”-type title such as “pastor,” but they just call them “readers” because they are there to read the book! And, yes, they teach this as official doctrine, that their scriptures = their pastor!) So, if loving and revering a book like a living person is any proof that the book is alive, watch out … because this would mean that the Sikh scriptures and the Christian Science scriptures are alive, too!

  34. Hebrews wasnt talking about written text. Jesus is the word of God not the bible is the word of God. The bible was made by the catholic church… change your use of english language tricks.

  35. What a strong message. Thank you very much.

I'm busy shaking all those pastors and Bible teachers that say there are mistakes in ALL Bibles, EVEN THE KJV, out of my life.

    God bless

  36. we are dead in our sins!
He quickens that spirit -seed of Truth, put in man-kind
that spirit -seed grows if we give it water of life -Word
or we grow up that seed of earth -dark -wanting own way,
giving a way for demons to rule the flesh -kills, fall to ground

  37. Tried to order would not except my card, tried to force me to use pay pal….Don't like Pay pal will never use them. They are dishonest.

  38. David it makes me so happy to hear you speak on these subjects. I thank God so much for Giving us his inspired Word (KJV)… God bless you brother.

  39. And every single one of them probably busted Hell wide open.

To be that close to the gospel and reject it.

  40. Why does anyone go to seminary? This explains so much. They acted just like the hostile atheist professors we hear about today. And these guys are supposed to be on God’s side(?). I’ll never take the word of christian “experts” for granted again. Thanks David.

  41. Not believing the bible also includes believing in a spinning ball earth. The earth is a flat realm with an impassable firmament over us. There is no outer space, only outer darkness. The stars and planets (wandering stars) are heavenly angels.

ALL science is fake, including NASA.
